This is the second post of a series of called “Berlin: Last Days”.
With Last Days I want to illustrate my last months on my favourite city in the world.
This post is dedicated to Berlin’s Tempelhof Airport, one of the coolest airports in the world.
The old airport now functions as a park, and although it’s best to visit during summer, Tempelhof during winter has its unique charm.
The first time I saw the Tempelhof airport was in January 2013, I was on the S-Bahn on my way to do some paperwork. I asked a local friend:
Why are people flying kites in the middle of the winter?
Life goes on, my friend answered.
