Hiking at Lake Louise

In Summer ‘25 we went on a road trip with my friends Andre and Denny. This is the first post of the series, where we visited Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies.

Lake Louise was just stunning, the turquoise water and the surrounding mountains were breathtaking. It’s full of hikes, you can spend the whole day here.

Andre coaxed us into the Plain of Six Glaciers Hike. It was quite the effort! as we went up, we kept asking people how long it’d take, no matter how far we were, people kept answering “20 minutes!”, it felt like a curse. There’s a teahouse at the end, which unfortunately closed just before we arrived. Despite that, the views were amazing, and we had a great time taking photos and enjoying the scenery. We also saw a DOUBLE RAINBOW, which the photos don’t do it justice.

While we were up the hike WE SAW AN AVALANCHE! we heard the sound from afar and started recording right away, it was quite an impressive scene.

It’s worth packing a lunch, prices at the Fairmont hotel are ridiculous. There’s also boats you can rent which look super fun and scenic.

The parking lot closes to the park was full, so we stopped in one about half an hour walking away from the lake.
